A Bit About Dr. Taylor
Overview

Dr. Shannon E. Taylor is a licensed clinical neuropsychologist whose passion for helping patients navigate cognitive, behavioral, and emotional disorders has been shaped by more than three decades of education and clinical training.
​
Throughout her career, she has focused on translating neuropsychological assessments into meaningful, practical interventions that support patients and their families. Her work in pediatric neuropsychology, research, and professional presentations reflects a longstanding commitment to evidence-based treatment, early intervention, and individualized care aimed at improving cognitive, behavioral, and emotional outcomes for children across a wide range of developmental and neurological conditions.
Education and Study

Dr. Taylor earned her PhD in Clinical Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine from the University of North Texas in an APA-approved program* following a master’s degree in psychology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in neurobiology. Her academic foundation, combined with early training in behavioral medicine, neuropsychology, and pediatric psychology, fostered a deep interest in understanding how brain development impacts learning, behavior, and emotional functioning in children.

Dr. Taylor’s clinical experience includes extensive work in pediatric hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and private practice, with advanced postdoctoral fellowship training at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
